March 30 (NBD) -- "The 2023 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference recently kicked off in Hainan Province, China, the first offline gathering since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic three years ago. 

Focus on facing uncertainties with cooperation, the meeting brought together about 2,000 guests from more than 50 countries and regions, including former Vice Premier of the State Council of China Zeng Peiyan, Governor of the People's Bank of China Yi Gang, former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and former President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim. 

According to China News, in response to the question that whether artificial intelligence represented by ChatGPT will replace human workers, Lin Yifu, Honorary Dean of National School of Development and Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University, said that people should actively embrace technological change instead of worrying about this. In his vision, with the aid of artificial intelligence, humans may only need to work one day a week, 5 hours a day, in the future.

On March 29, Shen Dou, President of Baidu Intelligent Cloud said at a sub-form, that Microsoft used ChatGPT to change all its product lines and Baidu also wants to change all its products with Erine Bot. When asked what's Baidu's biggest bottleneck if generative AI is applied to real scenarios? Shen Dou said: "In the long run, computing power, algorithms and data will never be satisfied. But at this stage, we have taken a solid step forward."
