Subway plans to open 4000 new stores in China in next 20 years

Miami-based sandwich giant Subway on Tuesday announced the largest master franchise deal in its history, a 4,000-unit, 20-year agreement with Shanghai Fu-Rui-Shi Corporate Development (FRS). FRS will get exclusive rights to manage and develop all Subway locations in China. The 4,000 new restaurants would be a seven-fold increase in Subway's current footprint in the country.
