In the 1940s, Ford Motor Company founder Henry Ford boldly predicted that "flying cars will eventually appear," and now the prediction is gradually becoming a reality.

On January 30th, XPeng's eVTOL business arm AeroHT announced that its two-seater flying car, the X2, have officially obtained a conditional flight permit issued by the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration, the first eVTOL to receive such a permit in the entire country. This means that XPeng's flying car are one step closer to commercialization.

Independently developed and produced by AeroHT, the X2's fuselage is entirely made of carbon fiber. "After obtaining the flight permit, we will continue to carry out a series of manned flight tests to accumulate data and experience for the company’s subsequent mass production," said a representative with AeroHT.

According to insiders, the conditional flight permit for the X2 will not only further advance the development of flying cars of XPeng, but also speed up the development of flying cars.
