July 10 (NBD) -- China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd. (001979.SZ) signed sales contracts for a total building area of 996,700 square meters in June 2018 with contract sales totaling 23.179 billion yuan (3.498 billion U.S. dollars), up 93.53 percent and 122.17 percent year over year, respectively, the company said Tuesday. 

In the January-June period, the Shenzhen-based industrial park developer achieved around 3.584 million square meters of sold building area and the contract sales amount of 75.096 billion yuan (11.333 billion U.S. dollars), up 24.26 percent and 39.86 percent, respectively, from the same period of last year.

The company has acquired 9 new projects for 11.553 billion yuan (1.744 billion U.S. dollars) since the disclosure of the sales update for May 2018, and the aggregate land area registered 727,700 square meters.
