Hong Kong, Aug. 23 (NBD) -- Twenty-six deals between Southwest China's Sichuan province and Hong Kong were signed at The Sichuan-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Week in Hong Kong· Sichuan Promotion Conference on International Cooperation Under the Belt and Road Initiative, which was held in Hong Kong on August 22 and supported by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The total value of these deals reached 20.4 billion U.S. dollars.

Of them, 17 projects are about investing in Sichuan province, with 18.3 billion U.S. dollars earmarked for investment in industries like agriculture, culture and tourism, manufacturing, education, finance, and energy.

Three projects are related to overseas investment. Under terms of the agreements, 1.5 billion U.S. dollars will be invested in finance and energy industries.

The remaining six are trade pacts and worth 600 million U.S. dollars. Trade covered includes airplane financing and leasing, supply of fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products to Hong Kong, and dietetic beverage export.
