On September 8, XPENG officially commissioned its humanoid robot production line, with the world's first advanced general-purpose humanoid robot completing automated final assembly and stepping off the production line autonomously. This marks a critical leap from R&D prototyping to assembly-line manufacturing.

Designed independently by XPENG, the production line achieves an automation rate of over 80% across core processes. He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPENG, stated that humanoid robots should possess full generalization capabilities to enter real-world scenarios and solve problems.

The XPENG robot features 76 degrees of freedom (DoF) across its body and is powered by 3 in-house Turing AI chips delivering 2,250 TOPS of computing power. The company plans to begin large-scale mass production by the end of this year, with market launch and customer deliveries scheduled for 2027.
