Alibaba’s Qwen tech lead Lin Junyang steps down

Qwen’s core lead, Lin Junyang, has officially announced his departure from Alibaba. His farewell on X comes just days after the successful launch of the Qwen3.5 small model series (0.8B to 9B). Elon Musk recently liked the Qwen3.5 release announcement.
