Faraday Future (Nasdaq: FFIE), a global shared intelligent electric mobility ecosystem company headquartered in California, USA, on Monday, announced the appointment of senior financial executive Edward (Ed) Darwick as its head of financial operations, effective immediately.
Ed will play a key role in FF’s financial operations and will be responsible for guiding the development, implementation and improvement of systems and personnel configurations for the entire team.
Ed reports to Ms. Han Yun, Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer. As a passionate and strategic corporate finance professional, Ed has approximately 20 years of experience in FP&A, product development and financial control operations. He has worked in joint ventures, startups and multinational companies (including Ford and NIO) in the United States, China and Japan, and has extensive work experience. Ed understands the need to set top-down goals and prepare bottom-up budgets by focusing on accurate data and repeatable forecasting processes.
Ed holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies from Fairfield University. Prior to pursuing his MBA, he worked in the luxury retail industry, which helped cultivate his focus and understanding of the importance of creating brand identity to connect with users and internal cultural consistency.
“The continued hiring of key talent, especially financial leaders like Ed, is critical to FF’s continued expansion of production, next-stage product delivery, cost-effectiveness and profitability goals,” said Carsten Breitfeld, Global CEO of Faraday Future. “As FF establishes a strong influence in the global electric vehicle market, Ed’s global financial experience will be of great benefit to the company.”
