Feb. 27 (NBD) – Chinese online game developer Giant Network on Monday announced that it will release a new product "Yuanshi Zhengtu" (Primitive Journey) on March 24.

According to public information, "Zhengtu" (The Journey) is the first self-developed game of Giant Network. And the company has released several related mobile products.

Last September, Shi disclosed the public testing of Yuanshi Zhengtu on Weibo that players can enjoy the game on smartphones, computers, and Pads.

Shi Yuzhu, founder of the gaming company, shared his story of participating in the development of the game. Shi said in an internal speech that he made more than 100 male friends after his retirement and lost a lot of money by lending money to them or making guarantees for their loans, according to The Paper. Liu Wei, CEO of the company, therefore brought him back.

Besides, he said game planning is not science, it is art instead. In terms of the IP development of The Journey, Shi expected the joining of the post-2000 generation.

According to Shi, 80% of blockbusters featured limited functions but their core function are very strong. Giant Network's first step is to slash all new functions and optimize the current ones. 

Shi also mentioned the balance of paid players and non-paid players, which will be fixed in the new game.
