Feb.2 (NBD) -- According to the documents submitted by Tesla to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Tesla's total revenue in 2022 was 81.46 billion US dollars, an increase of 51% YoY.
Among them, the Chinese market generated 18.15 billion US dollars in revenue, accounting for 22.27%, while the US market generated 40.55 billion US dollars in revenue, accounting for 49.78%, still Tesla's largest market.
Other markets generated 22.76 billion US dollars in revenue, accounting for 27.75%. In terms of growth rate, the Chinese market's revenue increased 31.07% YoY from 13.84 billion US dollars in 2021.
Additionally, the document reveals that Tesla's investment in Bitcoin resulted in a $204 million impairment loss in 2022 and a $64 million benefit from exchanging Bitcoin for fiat currency. The document shows that Tesla invested a total of $1.5 billion in Bitcoin in the first quarter of 2021.
