Great Wall Motor (GWM), China's leading sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup manufacturer, saw auto vehicle sales grow 22.71 percent year on year in June.
In a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said it sold a total of 100,664 vehicles last month, up from 82,036 in June last year.
Vehicle sales in the first half of 2021 totaled 618,211 units, a year-on-year increase of 56.47 percent, the carmaker said. Its overseas sales in the January-June period tripled to 61,672 units.
Headquartered in Baoding, north China's Hebei Province, Great Wall Motor owns several SUV and car brands, including HAVAL, GWM Pickup, WEY, and ORA.
