Chinese mobile internet company Cheetah Mobile (NYSE: CMCM) has been banned from Google’s Play store and ad network, after about 45 apps of Cheetah were removed from Play store in Google’s crackdown on ad fraud and “disruptive” mobile ads that kicked out nearly 600 apps and their developers, according to BuzzFeed News.

Cheetah Mobile confirmed the ban in a press release Friday, saying it’s talking with Google to appeal the decision, and will “adopt any requisite remedial measures”. Stock fell by 6.94 percent pre-market.
