June 6 (NBD) -- Red date cakes sold by Chinese supermarket chain operator Yonghui Superstores' (601933.SH) Taihu branch based in Beijing's Tongzhou District were found containing excessive amount of preservatives, according to an announcement released Tuesday by the Beijing Food and Drug Administration on results of the latest food safety inspection. 

The announcement shows 3 out of 156 batches of samples checked were below the mark, and the overall pass rate was around 98.08 percent.
