Luxury outerwear brand Canada Goose issued an apology on the evening of October 12 following online backlash over litter left behind during a commercial photo shoot on Mount Fuquan in the Beilun District of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.

The incident came to light earlier on October 12 when a local cyclist, Mr. Xu, shared a video on social media showing printed documents scattered across the mountain trail. The papers were identified as shooting schedule plans for Canada Goose’s 2027 New Year product line, dated October 9, 2026.

In the video, Xu highlighted the environmental impact, noting that garbage, including discarded food boxes presumably from the production crew, was left scattered along the area.

In response to the growing public concern, Canada Goose released an official statement on Monday evening expressing deep regrets regarding the environmental cleanup issues at the Mount Fuquan location. The brand stated that it immediately contacted its production team upon learning of the situation.

According to Canada Goose, the crew promptly returned to the site to execute a comprehensive cleanup and initiated a mountain restoration drive. To ensure long-term environmental maintenance, the contracted production team committed to conducting weekly trash inspection and cleanup patrols in the affected areas on Mount Fuquan every Saturday from October 17, 2026, through October 30, 2027, with ongoing documentation of their efforts.
