
(NBD) Aug. 30 -- 2017 City Brand Communication Forum was held in Southwest China's Chengdu on Tuesday. At the forum, the Brand Value Research Center of Chinese Listed Companies was inaugurated jointly by National Business Daily (NBD), a professional financial omnimedia and China Business Case Center of Tsinghua University (THU).
China Business Case Center of THU was founded in 2000 as a base for managerial research of Chinese enterprises. NBD, as a finance omnimedia consisting of 34 media products, offers most updated business to over 40 million users every day.
NBD initiates the Brand Value Research Center to conduct long-term study on the brand value of listed companies so as to improve the brand value of Chinese listed companies. Zhaoping, director of China Business Case Center of THU believed that China will grow into an economic power when it becomes a branding power and the Brand Value Research Center of Chinese Listed Companies will promote its realization and witness this historic moment.
With regard to the establishment of the research center, Zhaoping said that companies on the Brand Value List of Chinese Listed Companies accounting for a large proportion of China's economic aggregate. Therefore, improvement in the brand value of these companies plays decisive role in achieving the overall upgrade of China's brands and increasing GDP growth, Zhao added.
