Hong Kong, Aug. 24 (NBD) -- Chengdu officially released its plan to develop itself into a cultural creativity center in western China during the Sichuan-Hongkong-Macao Cooperation Week held in HK.

According to the plan, Chengdu is expected to lift added value brought by cultural creativity industries by 75 billion yuan (11.3 billion U.S. dollars) in 2017, accounting for 5.5% of GDP. By 2020, a modern cultural creativity industry ecosystem will be in place, which helps bring about over 180 billion yuan (27.1 billion U.S. dollars), 10% of GDP. By 2022, a batch of cultural brands, landmarks, and industry parks will be in shape, bringing over 260 billion yuan (39.1 billion U.S. dollars), 12% of GDP.
