Boeing's 737 completion plant in Zhoushan, Southeast China's Zhejiang province will start its construction at end of March, according to Xinhua Report.

Upon completion, Boeing aims to deliver 100 airplanes a year with the first delivery to take place in 2018.

At the end of 2016, Boeing established its first plant outside the United States in Zhoushan. The plant consists two parts: 1) 737 completion plant jointly invested by Boeing and Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd (COMAC); 2) 737 delivery plant solely-owned by Boeing.

The completion plant will install interiors like entertainment system and seats, carry out painting, repairing and maintenance. The delivery will be done in the delivery plant.

When the plant opeartes in its full capacity, it will deliver 100 planes annually and create 2,000 jobs.
