
CHENGDU, Jan.16 (NBD) -- The annual output of new energy vehicle (NEV) in China will chalk up 2 million by 2020, according to the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Citing a government plan at a forum last Saturday held in Beijing, Miao Wei, the Industry and Information Technology Minister, also said by 2025, at least one in every five cars sold in China will be a new energy model.
In 2016, China produced 517,000 new energy vehicles.
