The tourism sector of Wenjiang is expected to further expand, as a scenic spot within the district recently passed the preliminary assessment for the national 3-A tourism rating.

Officials from the Sichuan Tourism Sites Rating Working Group came to Wenjiang’s Lian’erli village tourism site on Dec 30, 2016 to give an onsite evaluation.

Lian’erli village tourism site is famous for its bridges and buildings with unique rural Chengdu style. It also highlights folk customs and culture with many teashops, temples, street markets and traditional festival celebrations.

After evaluating the tourism site’s touring line, scenic spots, tourist service center and the parking areas, the working group also listened to a themed presentation made by employees from the tourism site.

According to an official from Wenjiang, they will make more efforts to improve the popularity of Lian’erli village tourism site and eventually construct it into a destination of rural leisure tourism.
