CHENGDU, Dec.15 (NBD) -- Southwest China's Chengdu is to create a highland for Fintech development and establish a special fund of 300 million yuan (43.18 million U.S. dollars) for industry service, according to Management Committee of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone at a forum kicked off on Thursday.

The international forum for Fintech Development is the first of its kind specilized in finance technology ever held in Southwest China.

Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone aims at building itself as the first national Hi-tech zone focusing on cultivating a thriving Fintech sector.
