CHENGDU, Nov. 24 (NBD) -- The 2016 Chengdu Creativity and Design Week(CCDW), with a theme of "Inspiration Chengdu, Wonderful Life", will kick off on Friday.

Various of activities such as competitions for "Golden Panda" design prize of Cultural and Creativity Industries,  exhibitions, trade promotions, forums and conferences and sub-venue events will be held.

As entering into its third consecutive year, CCDW will introduce copyright registration this year. More than 4000 candidate works for "Golden Panda" design prize of Cultural and Creativity Industries as well as Chengdu Uni-students Creativity Design Competition will be registrated at Chengdu International Copyright Trade Center.

Cultural and creative industries are, at the dawn of the 21st century, undergoing considerable change as a result of increased digital technologies, the economic crisis of the past several years, and considerable changes in the regulatory framework. Chengdu is aimed to be built as western China's centre for Cultural and Creativity Industry by 2020.
