The 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-level Meeting on Global AI Governance (WAIC 2025) will kick off in Shanghai from July 26 to 28. Preparations for the conference are now underway and making steady progress.
On July 10, a press conference for WAIC 2025 was held in Shanghai, followed by a media site visit. According to Zhou Jin, Vice President of DLG Exhibitions & Events Co., Ltd, one of the conference organizers, over 100 innovative products will make their debut at WAIC 2025. At the core "WAIC Li (Alley)" themed street, robots will take on various roles in old Shanghai alley scenarios, performing high-precision tasks such as drumming, calligraphy, cooking skewers and peeling eggs. These actions demonstrate the iterative development of cognitive, motion and interactive intelligence.
In the field of model application, Siemens will debut its Industrial Copilot AI industrial assistant in China. In embodied intelligence, Tesla will showcase the Tesla Bot, and Unitree Robotics will display a boxing robot. AI-powered hardware products like AI pets, AI glasses, AI-powered computers and multilingual AI transparent screens will also be unveiled.
China's large models, such as DeepSeek, have provided cost-effective AI services globally, promoting the technology's global adoption and showcasing Chinese wisdom.
"This year marks the commercialization of humanoid robots," Qiu Heng, CMO of Agibot, revealed that the company will launch the Lingxi X2-Pro robot at WAIC 2025, showcasing its applications in industrial manufacturing, logistics, retail services, entertainment and education. In industrial settings, humanoid robots excel in flexible manufacturing, adapting to small-batch, variable production demands.
Zhou Yuxiang, founder of Blacklake Technology, highlighted the potential of AI-driven cloud-native manufacturing collaboration platforms in improving coordination efficiency within and between factories. The "industrial digitalization Agent" developed by his company can generate standard processes and customized adjustment logic based on real-time data, thereby optimizing workflows in the manufacturing sector.
At WAIC 2025, the "air-ground integrated" smart mobility network will feature demonstrations such as flying saucer eVTOL take-offs and drone operations, as well as L4-level autonomous taxis and shuttles. Li Auto's Li MEGA MPV, equipped with the Li AI assistant, will be displayed. This vehicle can execute voice commands to complete tasks such as ordering and paying for coffee.
Tezign, one of the seven AI leaders in the "Modular Space", will showcase its commercial research AI agent, atypica.AI.
