Baidu, one of China's leading search engine companies, has undergone a significant change in its public relations leadership. On May 20, it was reported that the Senior Vice President Liang Zhixiang has temporarily assumed control of the company's public relations operations following the departure of former Vice President Qu Jing. On the same day, a source confirmed the above information to National Business Daily (NBD).

According to public information, Mr. Liang Zhixiang joined Baidu in June 2005, and became senior vice president and general counsel in June 2011. And Mr. Liang also served as an executive assistant to the CEO from January 2013 to February 2018.

Previously, Qu Jing, made controversial statements on a short video platform as Baidu's vice president and head of public relations, which caused an uproar. Subsequently, Qu Jing claimed that her actions were unrelated to the company, and then it was reported that she had resigned from Baidu.
