With the skyrocketing popularity of “Singer 2024,” Mango Excellent Media’s stock price has also soared. As of the close on May 13th, Mango’s stock price surged by 11.69%, bringing its total market value to 47.1 billion yuan—an overnight increase of 49.2 billion yuan.
According to data provided by Hunan TV’s official Weibo account on the evening of the 11th, “Singer 2024” has achieved multiple “firsts” to date, garnering 1352 trending searches across the web, 142 on Weibo’s main leaderboard, and 34 topic words reaching the top spot on Weibo’s main leaderboard, with a total online reach exceeding 7.3 billion.
This season of Mango TV’s “Singer 2024” has emphasized an “international” flair, adopting a “live broadcast + unedited sound” format, which has somewhat overshadowed the performances of domestic entertainers.

In the first episode, foreign singers stole the show, with American singer Chanté Moore and Canadian singer Faouzia ranking first and second, respectively, while Na Ying, known as the “big sister” of China’s music scene, only managed to secure third place. The broadcast sparked heated discussions among netizens, especially since Na Ying, despite her status, only came in third, with the top two spots taken by foreign singers.

After the show aired, it sparked intense discussions among viewers and netizens, with Na Ying frequently trending on Weibo.
It’s worth mentioning that after a group interview, when a reporter encouraged Na Ying from the audience not to be nervous, she quickly retorted with a witty “Why don’t you try being up here,” which left everyone in stitches.
Moreover, concerned netizens began to rally support for the show’s lineup, calling on singers like Li Jian, Yuan Yawei, Tan Weiwei, Deng Ziqi (G.E.M.), Zhang Jie, Lin Zhixuan, Phoenix Legend, Zhou Shen, and Yang Zongwei to come and support the stage: Na Ying can’t hold it alone! CCTV’s entertainment network also called for Yuan Yawei to lend her support.

On May 12, the production team of Hunan TV's "Singer 2024" responded, stating that "Singer 2024" has a rigorous competition system and fair, just, and open performance rules and they will proceed with subsequent invitations based on the schedules of each singer.
