On March 12, Li Auto announced that the 2024 models of the L7 and L8 will introduce variants equipped with the CDC sport suspension, continuing the use of the “Air” model name. These two new models are scheduled to be launched and start deliveries in May this year.

Li Auto explained that since their launch, there has been significant feedback from potential customers desiring the retention of the “Air” version models for the L7/L8, which feature coil springs and CDC dampers.

Additionally, Li Auto has adjusted the naming of the current 2024 L7 and L8 models from Air, Pro, Max to Pro, Max, Ultra; the naming of the 2024 Li L9 Max has also been updated to L9 Ultra.

“The new naming system is clearer and easier to understand. Under the new configuration system, ‘Ultra’ represents the super top-end configuration (large battery), ‘Max’ is equipped with Li Auto’s AD Max, ‘Pro’ with Li Auto’s AD Pro, and ‘Air’ indicates the sport suspension with CDC (coil springs). This clarity makes it easier for consumers to choose based on their needs,” said Li Auto.

Official data shows that from March 4 to March 10, the insurance registrations for the Li L series models reached 9,061 units. As per their earlier plans, Li Auto aims to hit a target of 50,000 deliveries in March.

Notably, while adjusting the product lineup, Li Auto has also revised the initial sales purchase benefits for the 2024 L series models, introducing a new benefit where a deposit of 5,000 yuan can offset 10,000 yuan off the purchase price.

Li Auto stated that since the launch of the 2024 L series, less than 35% of customers have utilized the 5,000 yuan optional equipment fund benefit, with many indicating that the standard configurations of the 2024 L series already meet their needs.

Based on this, Li Auto has decided to adjust the initial sales benefits for the L series models: customers who order a 2024 L series model before March 31 will receive an additional 5,000 yuan deposit deduction on top of the existing 5,000 yuan optional equipment fund, effectively providing a 10,000 yuan discount on the purchase price. For customers who have already paid and been delivered a 2024 L series model, Li Auto will offer 80,000 points in benefits to compensate for the adjustment in the initial sales benefits.
