Kwong is the widow of Kwok Tak-seng, who founded Sun Hung Kai Properties with his friends Lee Shau-kee and Fung King-hey in 1963. The three men went their separate ways in the 1970s. Kwok died in 1990. Kwong holds shares in Sun Hung Kai Properties through a trust and is the company's largest shareholder.
