On October 16, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced his visit to Chengdu on his personal Weibo account, along with a photo of Anshun Bridge taken by the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In an interview with reporters on October 16, Cook said, "I have very high expectations for the development of Chinese developers on Vision Pro. We already have a group of developers in Shanghai working on Vision Pro. We have seen some apps that are sure to be popular. We are very excited about this."

Cook added that Chinese developers will repeat their global success stories in the AR era, just as they have done on the Apple iOS app store platform.

As of the close of trading on October 17, Apple's stock price fell 0.07% to $178.72 per share, with a market capitalization of $2.8 trillion.

On October 16, data from market research firm Counterpoint Research showed that iPhone 15 series sales in China during the first 17 days of its launch fell 4.5% from the iPhone 14 series launched in 2022.
