On April 26th, Airbus (Chengdu) Aircraft Full Life Cycle Service Co., Ltd. was established and a ceremony was held in Chengdu. 

It is China's first aircraft full life cycle service JV that was jointly established by Airbus, TARMAC Aerosave, the largest aircraft storage and recycling company in Europe, and the government of Shuangliu District, Chengdu.

According to the agreement, Airbus holds a 70% stake in the company, TARMAC Aerosave 20%, and Aerotropolis Xincheng Group 10%.

Airbus said that the first batch of corporate executives and core personnel have already taken up their positions, and the first batch of heavyweight equipment will arrive in June this year.

It will provide one-stop services for aircraft from parking, storage, maintenance, upgrading, modification, disassembly, and recycling for various models. After the project is delivered in September, it will be put into operation immediately.

The person in charge of Airbus France said that the first phase of the parking space can accommodate 100 aircraft. Currently. The second phase of construction is set to be completed around 2028, which will expand the accommodation capacity to 125 aircraft.

"This year, Airbus narrow-body A320 aircraft maintenance services will be carried out, and next year, Airbus A320 aircraft disassemble services will be carried out. It is expected to conduct disassemble services for Airbus wide-body aircraft A330 in the third quarter of next year." Hu Yongdong said that the project will also "receive" Boeing aircraft, and is expected to carry out Boeing narrow-body 737 businesses in 2025.

The relevant person in charge of TARMAC Aerosave company stated that the company has achieved a recycling rate of 92% of the total aircraft weight in its European factories. Its goal is to reach this utilization rate again as soon as possible, and even further increase the utilization rate according to existing or future recycling channels in China.
