Chinese automaker SAIC Maxus will sell electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) cars in Israel, the Israeli car import dealership China Motors said Tuesday.

The company will import the EUNIQ 6 model from SAIC Maxus, a subordinate company of China's leading automaker SAIC Motor Corporation.

The electric car model to be sold in Israel has a length of 4.74 meters and a wheelbase of 2.76 meters.

It has a 70-kWh battery capacity, which gives it a driving range of up to 560 km.

It regularly takes about 11 hours to charge the vehicle's battery, while fast charging of 20 percent to 80 percent of the battery takes up to 33 minutes.

The dealership will also import an updated version of the EUNIQ 5 minivan model, with a driving range of up to 560 km, to be sold alongside another version of the model which was launched in Israel in July.

China Motors was founded in 2009, and imports from China a variety of vehicles, including buses and trucks, as well as heavy engineering equipment.
