China's National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will host an online international forum on Sept. 9 and 10 to discuss opportunities and challenges faced by opera houses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nearly 100 representatives of performing arts institutions from 26 countries and regions will virtually join the "Beijing Forum for Performing Arts 2020" via video link to explore new operation modes during the pandemic.

Zhu Jing, deputy head of the NCPA, said the forum would serve as a platform where opera houses can share their innovative practices and learn from one another.

The forum is one of the online events of the ongoing 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services held in Beijing.
