Dec. 5 (NBD) -- Global index provider FTSE Russell on Wednesday announced the quarterly classification changes to a number of indexes, including the FTSE China A50 Index, FTSE China A150 Index, and FTSE China A200 Index.
Muyuan Foods Co Ltd (002714.SZ) and Luxshare Precision Industry Co Ltd (002475.SZ) will be added to the FTSE China A50 Index. Widely viewed by global investors as a primary barometer of China's equities market, FTSE China A50 Index comprises the top 50 A-share companies by market capitalization listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges.
And as a result, China Communications Construction Co Ltd (601800.SH) and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd (600019.SH) will be removed from the index, largely due to the shrinkage of their market value and investability issues.
All changes will be effective after the close of 20 December, 2019.
