June 5 (NBD) - Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited (Shanghai Electric, 601727.SH) disclosed Tuesday that it will jointly set up a healthcare fund by spending 200 million yuan (31.2 million U.S. dollars) establishing a limited partnership.

The fund size is estimated at 1.6 billion yuan (249.4 million U.S. dollars).

The move indicates Shanghai Electric's foray into the healthcare sector and is expected to help the company nurture quality projects with the assistance of specialized management institutions.
