Following by the first Microsoft cloud speedup center set up in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, Chengdu will collaborate with Microsoft to build the innovative smart city. New technology such as cloud calculating, Internet of things, big data and smart city will be applied to achieve industrial upgrading of Chengdu's economic circle.

"Smart city enables effective management of city and a better living environment," said Sandy Gupta, vice president of global public affairs department of Microsoft, "The data can help the city achieve smarter selection and development in core industries and promote distinctive city-industry integration."

He also pointed out that Chengdu is crucial to Microsoft and the eco-system of Microsoft's production in Chengdu is being improved. Thus Microsoft seeks to further deepen cooperation. "Microsoft is confident about the cooperation this time." he said.
