Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman of Gree Electric, tops the list in Forbes China's top 100 Chinese Businesswomen of 2017.

Forbes' list is based on specified criteria including sales volume, operational quality, staffing and influence on outside companies. The Chinese-language edition of Forbes Magazine not only focuses on a company's operations, but also analyzes its role and influence in the development of other companies.

Among the list, three are from Alibaba Group, boasting the most number of senior executives from the same company.

In addition, more businesswomen working in the science and technology industry made the list this year. Sun Jie, the new CEO of the online tourism giant Ctrip, ranked No. 15. Liu Qing of Didi Taxi ranked No. 45.
