CHENGDU, Jan. 23 (NBD) -- The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region aims to push the total industrial output value of its equipment manufacturing industry to 150 billion yuan (21.8 billion US dollars) and increase the annual growth rate of the industrial added value to 12 percent by 2020. 

Meanwhile, the industry is expected to produce profits of up to 11 billion yuan (1.6 billion US dollars) by then. 

Goals will be achieved through the construction of one center, two industrial belts, three export bases, eight industrial clusters, and ten manufacturing bases, according to the region's 13th five-year plan for the development of the equipment manufacturing industry and ten supporting plans.
