CHENGDU, Jan. 20 (NBD) -- Audi will bring more electric vehicle models to the Chinese market and develop autonomous cars there, the carmaker said Tuesday.

It, meanwhile, will enhance cooperation with FAW Group to deal with challenges from Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

The two parties will put five electric car models into production in the country over the next five years. 

All electric cars with a range of more than 500 kilometers will be introduced in the future, Audi said.
