CHENGDU, Jan. 16 (NBD) -- Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) announced lately that it plans to purchase up to 134 additional Red Line fleets from China's locomotives and rolling stock giant CRRC, with a total contract value near to 280 million US dollars.

MBTA concluded that a purchase from CRRC is the only way justified by procurement standardization.
