CHENGDU, Jan. 9 (NBD) -- A high-speed train, traveling from Kunming South Railway Station to Shenzhen North Railway Station, made its debut last Saturday.

The train is called "Qujing", the same name as the prefecture-level city in eastern Yunnan province.

This "Qujing" train shortens the travel time of 1,500 km from former 29 hours to 7 hours.

This culture-oriented route will offer a taste of Lingnan culture and showcase the evolving culture along the Pearl River and boost the tourism along the way.
