CHENGDU, Dec. 26 (NBD) -- The 1st phase of the solar power project in Cixi city, Zhejiang province, China, has been completed and undergoing testing. The 1st phase project is scheduled to connect to the power grid and operate on Thursday.
The project, with solar panels installed above the fishery water, is expected to generate 220 million kwh of electricity per year. It means that about 1.66 million tons of standard coal can be saved each year.
