CHENGDU, Dec. 23 (NBD) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will beef up its efforts to improve China's new-energy vehicle (NEV) safety supervision system to strengthen product quality management.
Meanwhile, the watchdog will work with other departments to create a dynamic adjustment mechanism concerning NEV standards, requirements for market access, and subsidy policies, in an effort to support excellent and strong enterprises.
China's NEV industry experienced fast growth in recent years. Data shows that the country produced 427,000 and delivered 402,000 NEVs in the first eleven months of this year, representing a year-over-year growth rate of 59.0% and 60.4%, respectively.
