CHENGDU, Dec. 22 (NBD) -- Shanghai's first low-carbon bus terminal officially opened after two-month pilot operation.

This bus terminal of Pudong Shangnan Public Transport is located at Gaoke Road West. All buses at the terminal are solar-powered.

Around 2,000 square meters of solar panels on the roofs generated 600 kilowatt hours of electricity a day during the pilot operation. The energy saved in a year is estimated to afford a bus to run 150,000 kilometers more.
