July 31 (NBD) -- The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), which represents Dubai's free zones and the Department of Commodity Trade and Enterprises, has been named "Global Free Zone of the Year" for nine consecutive years. Recently, DMCC' released the key points of "The Future of Trade 2024" report, which announced a 9% growth in its intake of companies from China in the first half of 2024, taking the total number of Chinese members in its free zone to 900.

In an exclusive interview with National Business Daily, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, stated that Chinese companies going global and choosing to settle in DMCC have advantages, and new biz opportunities between the UAE and China are accelerating.
