On May 9th, Alibaba Cloud officially released the Tongyi Qianwen 2.5, claiming that its performance has surpassed that of GPT-4 Turbo. Compared to the Tongyi Qianwen 2.1, the new version saw improvements in understanding ability, logical reasoning, command adherence, and coding capabilities by 9%, 16%, 19%, and 10%, respectively.

NBD noted that in 2024, the application of large models in the industrial sector is accelerating. Alibaba Cloud revealed that the Tongyi large model has served over 90,000 enterprises through Alibaba Cloud services, and the cumulative downloads of the Tongyi open-source model have exceeded 7 million.
