On April 23, there was news that NIO’s offline sales stores are offering a ¥5,000 subsidy to consumers who have already placed orders for the Xiaomi SU7. However, this subsidy does not apply to all Xiaomi SU7 pre-order customers.

According to a sales representative from NIO, this subsidy is specifically aimed at users who are unable to get a refund for their Xiaomi car reservation due to the lock-in period. If these users decide to purchase NIO’s products instead, they will receive a ¥5,000 compensation. It’s important to note that this compensation is not provided in cash; rather, it is directly deducted from the purchase price of the car.

In summary, if a user does not ultimately purchase a NIO car, they will not be eligible for the ¥5,000 subsidy mentioned above.

Lei Jun, chairman of Xiaomi, posted on Weibo on April 22 that the production capacity and delivery speed of the Xiaomi SU7 are rapidly increasing, with the standard and Max versions already being delivered ahead of schedule. Many prospective car owners have noticed in the Xiaomi Automobile APP that the estimated delivery time has been moved up. At the Beijing Auto Show, I will introduce our production capacity and delivery plans in detail.

If you are in a hurry to buy a car, domestic new energy vehicles are quite good. For example, you can consider purchasing models like the IM S7, NIO ET5, and XPeng P7 series.

In response to this, a Weibo account verified as the Assistant Vice President of Brand and Communication at Shanghai NIO Automobile Co., Ltd., @NioMaLin, replied: “The Xiaomi SU7 has made history. We welcome Chairman Lei to the NIO booth at the Beijing Auto Show to experience the new ET7.”

According to a report by Red Star News on April 22, there have been rumors that the newly launched IM S7 is “intercepting” orders for the Xiaomi SU7. The offer states that anyone who purchases any model of the IM S7 and pays the final amount will have the non-refundable ¥5,000 deposit for the Xiaomi SU7 deducted directly from the car’s price.

On April 21, a reporter visited a Huawei-authorized experience store in Chengdu, Sichuan, to verify the information. A Huawei staff member confirmed, “Indeed, such a policy exists. It can be applied for at all HarmonyOS Smart Travel signed stores nationwide.”

Since the launch of the Xiaomi SU7, Huawei stores have introduced this temporary policy, which will continue until the end of May.

However, according to Red Star Capital Bureau, there is no information about this subsidy policy on Huawei experience stores, Huawei’s official website, or other public channels.

“Some prospective owners of the Xiaomi SU7 are considering other brands due to the long wait for delivery,” said the staff member. “Once customers express this concern, we proactively introduce them to this discount policy.”

“Our store had a Xiaomi SU7 owner who didn’t want to wait any longer. Last week, he came in to pay the final amount for the IM S7, and we directly deducted ¥5,000, effectively compensating for the loss of the Xiaomi car owner’s deposit,” he explained. This subsidy policy can be combined with other promotional activities for the IM S7 and will not affect the original Xiaomi SU7 order. “As long as it’s the same owner, just show the locked order page. Regardless of whether the consumer purchases the Xiaomi SU7, a ¥5,000 deduction will be applied when paying the final amount for the IM S7.”

In response to this, an internal source at Huawei told a reporter from Yicai, “We are not aware of this,” adding, “There have been many consumers coming to the stores for test drives over the past few weekends, and the ability to deliver on a large scale is also a focus of consumer attention.
