Chinese Companies Shine at MWC 2024 with Latest Technologies

MWC Barcelona 2024, the world's largest and most influential connectivity event, is being held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 26 to 29. The theme of this year's MWC is "Future First," and it focuses on six sub-themes: 5G and Beyond, Connecting Everything, Humanising AI, Manufacturing DX, Game Changers and Our Digital DNA.

Over 300 Chinese companies are exhibiting at this year's MWC, with Huawei being the largest exhibitor. Other well-known companies exhibiting include the three major Chinese telecom operators, as well as ZTE, Honor, and Xiaomi.

As a grand gathering of the mobile communications industry, MWC is always seen as a wind vane for the development of the industry. The new technologies, new solutions, new applications, and new products showcased at the exhibition will become the darlings of the market in the next one or two years. Among the many exhibition areas this year, 5G, AI, and XR are the focus of attention.

ZTE's millimeter wave AAU uses large bandwidth to achieve 5G-A large-capacity coverage, providing over 10,000 Mbps backhaul for cruise ships and subways, supporting multi-channel concurrent live streaming, ultra-high-definition production and broadcasting and other services.

The booths of chip manufacturers such as Qualcomm and MediaTek showcase their latest chips and solutions for 5G, AI, and XR.

The 5G-A NR-NTN satellite test chip was showcased at MWC 2024. It can provide data with throughput of over 100Mbps for cars and other types of terminal devices.
