Chinese battery giant CATL released a record of investor relations activities on October 20, showing that the company's first 4C phosphate iron lithium Shenxing super-fast charging battery, which is able to sustain 400 kilometers with 10 minutes of charging, will be mass-produced by the end of this year and put into use in the first quarter of next year.

According to CATL, the supercharging battery has been on the market for only two months since its release, truly realizing "fast mass production".

So far, a number of customers have expressed their intention for cooperation. Avita, Chery, etc., have officially announced that they will install Shenxin supercharged batteries.

According to SNE, CATL’s overseas power battery usage market share reached 27.7% in the first eight months, an increase of 6.9 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, the company’s power battery market share in Europe reached 34.9% from January to August, a significant increase of 8.1 percentage points year-on-year.

As of September 30, 2023, the company’s inventory was 48.884 billion yuan, basically flat quarter-on-quarter, and the inventory remained at a low level. As raw material and battery prices reduce, the battery inventory has increased slightly.

In terms of capacity utilization, as demand increased quarter-on-quarter, the current capacity utilization rate increased to about 70% from the first half of the year, which is at a relatively high level in the industry.
