The 14th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2023 (Summer Davos Forum) is unveiled in Tianjin on June 27. The theme of the forum is "Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy".

At the forum, National Business Daily (NBD) interviewed Joseph Costantine, associate professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at American University of Beirut, on generative artificial intelligence (AI).

He said, "Basically, I think there's a lot of concern of generative AI, and I think the concerns are correct. There should be concerns about this. And I believe that we have a long way ahead of us in terms of improving the performance of generative AI. However, I believe we are already seeing the positive outcomes of this technology. I'm very optimistic about the future. A lot of positive outcomes from generative AI in different applications, you know, we talk about ChatGPT and a lot of thing, but not only that."
