Recently, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom released their latest operating data.

The data shows that as of the end of April 2023, the total number of 5G users of the three major operators has exceeded 1.2 billion, reaching 1.213 billion.

In April, China Telecom's mobile users increased by a net of 1.49 million, reaching a total of 400 million; the net increase of 5G users was 4.02 million, reaching a total of 287 million; the net increase of wired broadband users was 820,000, reaching a total of 185 million; the number of fixed telephone users decreased by 400,000, reaching a total of 104 million.

In April, China Mobile's mobile users increased by a net of 25,000, reaching a total of 983 million; the net increase of 5G users was 9.575 million, reaching a total of 699 million; the net increase of wired broadband users was 1.891 million, reaching a total of 283 million.

In April, China Unicom's 5G users reached 909 million, of which 5G users reached 227 million; the number of IoT terminal connections was 424 million; the number of users of 5G industry virtual private network services was 4,818.

China Unicom revealed that the company's authorized patents as of the end of April 2023 had reached 612; the problem-solving rate of intelligent customer service users in April was 97.9%, and the proportion of intelligent customer service intelligent services reached 83.0%.

From the first quarter reports released by the three major operators, it can be seen that the operators are actively providing services for the digital transformation of various industries, and the revenue of digital industry businesses has achieved rapid growth.
