During this year's Shanghai Auto Show, Honda's e: N brand released three all-electric vehicles, including e: NP2 Prototype, e: NS2 Prototype, and e: N SUV sequence.
According to the plan, the e: NP2 and e: NS2 will be produced by GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda, respectively, and equipped with intelligent technologies such as the new generation Honda CONNECT 4.0, which are expected to hit the market in early 2024.
Meanwhile, Shinji Aoyama, vice president of Honda., also announced that after 2027, all models launched by Honda in China will be hybrid models or all-electric vehicles. By 2035, 100% of Honda cars sold in China will be all-electric cars.
"China leads the world in going electrification. Therefore, we should implement the full EV (electrification) plan ahead of schedule. We are now catering to the overall market environment in China to better meet customer needs," electric business development chief Inoue Katsushi told NBD.
