On February 2, media reports said that NIO (HK09866) began to offer discounts up to 100,000 yuan and above for the 2022 ES6 and ES8.

In response, a person-in-charge with NIO told NBD that "the new generation models of the 2022 ES8, ES6 and EC6 are about to be launched, and a few sample cars displayed at the store and stock cars can enjoy the promotion policy."

However, the maximum discount of more than 100,000 yuan mentioned in the report has not been confirmed by NIO. 

The person explained that NIO has promotion policies for replacement and technology packages and preferential financial policies, which are still valid for the 2022 ES8, ES6 and EC6 models. 

"The 2022 models of ES8, ES6 and EC6, equipped with 8155 intelligent cabin chips and Alder intelligent system, are still highly competitive in the smart electric vehicle market," the person added. 

Last December, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of NIO, told reporters that by June 2023, NIO will complete the migration of the ES8, ES6 and EC6 series to the NT2.0 platform. At the "NIO Day 2022" held in December last year, the new ES8 based on the NT2.0 platform was released, and the delivery is planned to start in June this year.
